Fulham Broadway Business Improvement District recently secured funding from Hammersmith & Fulham Council as part of the Government Additional Relief Grant Scheme to install three defibrillators throughout the BID area.
Working in partnership with local businesses, the defibrillators will be installed at Waitrose (402 North End Road), The Goose Public House (248 North End Road), and Ride Republic (709 Fulham Road), all businesses with extended opening hours which provide additional coverage for our area. As a gesture of goodwill local business, Vizibility Media Group, donated the signage for the defibrillators.
Businesses throughout the BID area will also have the opportunity to have their staff trained in Emergency First Aid, which includes the confident usage of a defibrillator. Already, there have been 25 members of staff from throughout the Fulham Broadway BID area trained in Emergency First Aid.
The BID team are also working with local businesses who already have a defibrillator to ensure that they are registered with the London Ambulance Service and available for use should there be a requirement for them.
Andy Bell, Fulham Broadway BID Manager said “We want to make our High Streets as safe as they can possibly be. Installing defibrillators and providing Emergency First Aid training are just the first step. We want to give confidence to residents and visitors to the area, that Fulham Broadway is a safe place to come and spend time.”
Councillor Zarar Qayyum, President of the H&F Enterprise Board said “Hammersmith & Fulham Council are investing in improvements throughout the borough which will make our High Streets more attractive places to visit. The improvement works on North End Road are nearing completion and we welcome partnering with the Fulham Broadway BID to continue to make the shopping areas in the area great places to be.”
